This will be the 4th year that we have trained in Florida.

Janice and the kids will be coming and Janice will be preparing most of the dinner's.

Likely we will stay at the Old Bicycle Inn again, which is a 5 bedroom house.

Full details will be posted in the next couple days.

If you have initial interest in coming email me chris@coachchris.ca

Accomodations have been booked for the February Clermont Training Camp.

Last years Camp was the same week as this year. Weather was very nice and there are some great roads in the area. A great way to keep the motivation and training going over the winter and enjoy some nice warm winter riding. Here are the details:

Check in Monday February 8th
Check out Monday February 15th

That is 6 full days of riding. Accomodations are at Vacation Village. A lot of London area endurance athletes stay at Vacation Village for camps. Nice ammentiies including full kitchen, dishwasher and Wireless Internet. Here is a link to the Vacation Village accomodations:

Janice, the kids and I will be flying out of Detroit and renting a Van for the week. I will organize Van rental carpooling for individuals that fly down. Not driving is nice, but if you want to drive you certainly can.

Clermont has a fair amount of shopping for those inclined. It is also only about 45 minutes from Orlando.

Clermont is the national training centre for triathletes. There is a world class facility in Clermont with a large outdoor pool.

There are 8 spots available for the Camp. Cost is based on sleeping arrangements. Your own bedroom with a Queen Size bed is $800 including food for 1 person and $1000 including food for two people. A sofa sleeper is $600 including food for 1 person or $800 including food for 2 people. All prices are in Canadian and include gst.

Janice will be cooking all the dinners except for one night on the recovery day. Janice and I will do all the grocery shopping. Everyone will take turns doing clean up duty.

Both bedrooms are booked, but I still have 2 Sofa Sleepers. Cost is $600 per person including food or $800 including food for 2 people.

Clermont is so nice in February. Shorts and Jersey temps almost every day.

So far it is Mike Lewell, Donny Klassen and myself booked in for the riding. Some good motivation to keep the winter training up.

Leo St. Germain is joining us, but arranging his own accomodations.

Looks like I will be using up one of the sofa sleeper spots so that Taylor and Janice can share the double bed in the bedroom. This means there is only one spot left for a Sofa Sleeper.

Rob Anderson AKA the Big Show is now joining us in Florida.

Officially camp is full, but if someone really wants to come I can look into a cot for Taylor and free up a Sofa Sleeper.

Florida Camp was two months from last Tuesday. That is some good motivation to crank up the training.

Piers Davidge has taken the last spot for Florida.

Todd Hoover is also coming, so if anyone else is interested email me and I can look into booking another cottage.

A little over a week to camp. Makes the trainer rides more tolerable knowing soon the open roads await. Should be lots of fun.
