Fat and lazy season is almost over (for me anyways, I got dropped on Tuesday night), and thoughts are turning to winter training activities. Because of the limited daylight, I'll be riding most of the time in the morning or afternoons (it helps to have a flexible work schedule). Just thought I'd see who else can make it out, as it can be nice on those cold winter days to get a break from the wind once in a while (Chris doesn't count for that :) )

I'm thinking Mondays, Wednesday, and Saturdays. Anyone else interested in making a regular appearance. Having someone accountable definitely makes showing up to ride on the cold days a little more persuasive.

I live in the North end of the city, but typically ride south down Talbot past Chris's place to get out of the city, as the roads to the south are much better in the winter than roads to the north. Meeting at Chris's place works well, or anyone in the North end can meet at my place first.

Who's game?

I don't think you realize how fit you are in the winter:) I am definately game for weekday winter rides. I will be running Saturday and Sunday rides from my place starting in early December.

We could do Monday and Wednesday weekday rides taking Tuesday as a day off.

Jordie and Brandon are keen to do some winter riding, and they should also be able to break the wind as they are both strong. Also add in some rides from Sibo and Greg when they aren't working and we could have a good ride group going on. I will get in touch with Jordie and Brandon and see what days work best for them for weekday rides.

My off season mostly just started this week, I am keen to start regular weekday rides and Every Saturday Sunday rides around the 1st of December.

So is Jordie (I presume you mean Koffman) in London this winter then? Definitely we need to get him and Brandon out. Those guys are strong, and if committed to getting out regularly, we can all improve as a group.

All kidding aside, I only need a little break from the wind on the really cold days. Mostly, I just want to have a group to ride with as it's always easier to suffer in numbers.

I'm flexible on the days, so whatever works best for most. However, I would like make Tuesdays and Fridays my gym days, so Monday, Wednesdays and Saturdays work good for steady outdoor rides. Thursdays are highly secretive training days, and Sundays are optional sleep in and crepes.

P.S. Chris, you put on the silly cranks yet? It would almost be worth the drive over to see you go for your first spin on them.

I will try and arrange things with Jordie Kofman and Brandon to ride Monday's and Wednesdays in the winter. I will definately run a Saturday ride on the weekend's

Powercrank bike should be ready next week. Should be fun trying them for the first time. Hope to be up to at least 2hr rides by December so I can use them on group rides.
