An update on life on the powercranks. Last week I got up to 2hrs, which is slightly ahead of the schedule I had planned. The bad news is I basically turtle along at around 24 kp/h. This was a big concern since I want to start doing weekend team rides soon. Monday I went out with Jordie, who showed no mercy on my old body. Suprisingly I kept up ok and we averaged around 27 kp/h. Not too get too cocky I went out today with Marty Mann and struggled on a slower ride. The lesson learned seems to be 2 consecutive fairly hard days on the cranks is a difficult task. First team ride should be this weekend so we will see how it goes.
