For anyone who has participated in that event, are the O-cup point allocated based upon GC ? Does GC include the hillclimb?

Points are on the GC at the end of the weekend. All three events contribute towards the GC. Road course isn't quite so much climbing anymore. They were doing construction on the road and right around the finish area you don't go above the hotel anymore. The dissapointing part of the road course to is that all the climbing is on the way out so unless you can ride the way back at 80km/h down the climb with the tailwind you won't stay away. Guys were attacking up the climb and we would catch them on the way back coasting in the pack at 75+km/h down the hill with a tailwind.

I think I remember reading somewhere, that this year they were seriously considering a point-to-point race for the road event in Elliot Lake. I think it was Iron Bridge to Elliot Lake. If it's the road I'm thinking of (I actually tree planted up there one summer, and I can tell you there aren't many paved roads), it could be pretty cool. Quite rolling, hardly a flat spot.
