Someone took my friggin bike! Would appreciate it if you could all spread the word for me. Taken from my garage between 5-6pm Wed, July 5th. Black and silver 52 cm Canondale Six/13, Dura Ace 9 sp, Zipp 303 wheels, silver Fizik Saddle, Deda Newton Bar and stem w/white tape. 519.646.2305 work, 519.471.3018 home, 519.860.3018 cell. Any ideas on what to do to try to maximize my chances of getting it back?

That is just awful. The worst timing for you too.

First thing - Might not help you get your bike back now, but you need to call the cops today. In the event of an insurance claim, a police report is a must. Ask for a copy. Do you have your original receipts? They will help you too.

Second - A call/leaflet dropped off to all local bike stores. "Have you seen this bike?" It's probably some dopey neighbourhood kid who lifted it. If it hasn't been whisked far away, it might be making the rounds locally.

Third - Keep an eye on eBay or Craigslist. They're the first place some idiot might try to pawn off your gear.

THAT SUCKS!

Chuck is right Tony. Any Pics of it ? Most times the punks dont know what they have. They are usually parted out. They wont be able to do much with the cranks . Watch for the wheels,Handlebars, seatpost . Call Jeff in the morn and get a loaner bike. The cops dont care and if they find it they will probablly keep it themselves. Talk to Eric and maybe he can spread the word that it is a buddies bike and they might look a bit harder and return it to you. Post something on LCW, Canadian Cyclist and London Cycling club. Take a deep breath and relax. Something positive will come of it.

Good Luck

My bike is looking perma-gone. I have a new one on the way next week. Someone should tell ING Insurance that you can't buy a Cannondale Six/13 with Zipps and DA for $1,000.

I had a lot of offers of equipment to use - Thanks Eric, Mike Forsdike, Mike Thornton, Chuck Norris and Chris - very generous of you all. Your thoughtfulness will make me pause and think twice on Tuesday, but then I will launch a morale-destoying attack on all of you anyways.

I now have the few missing parts needed to put my old bike back into service and that will cover me till the new one comes. Take advantage of my clunker Ksyriums and lead-weight Litespeed while you can. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

hey Tony,

My ma and I were across the street from your house today, dropping off something at my sister's boyfriend house and I stayed in the vehicle, while my Ma went inside. I noticed that your garage door was wide open, with no one in sight and I was waiting in the car for almost 10 minutes and who knows how long it had been open before I got there. so in case you forgot to close it and come on here first ahhaah, now you know.
