Hello Everybody,

I have been on the forum for about a year now. Heather Stanley is my coach. I am a big guy. I used to love to cycle, but between being too busy with work and not looking after myself health wise my weight got out of control. I joined CoachChris.ca last May because I thought what a wonderful way to get back into shape, and have someone set me up a training program that not only included going to the gym, but cycling too.

Well I am glad that Heather has a lot of patience, because I didn’t exactly follow what she gave me to do. I pretty much wasted my year with her. Well back in March of this year, I finally went over the 300 lbs threshold. I could not believe I had let this happen to myself. I called Heather up and we talked on how I should approach this problem. We have put the bike training on hold (I still ride from time to time) and am concentrating on strictly losing weight.

My goal, 100 lbs + in 200 days. I want to be between 175 and 200 lbs.

My soft start date was April 9th, but I consider the start of my 200 days on May first. Heather used the first 3 weeks to meet me at the gym and go over the different movements she wanted me to do and to make sure I actually got to the gym!

May first I started the program she set up for me along with very strict eating guide line.

I will keep the link updated once a week on my progress.

Thanks,

It has been mentaly tough more than physical for right now. The first part will be easier. I'm sure it will get more challenging as I approach my goal weight/body fat%.

getting close to the half way mark. Feeling pretty pumped. Heather has me starting to run this week.

I hit the half way mark today (weight wise). I am 251 lbs as of this morning!!

I did a 5 km run yesterday. not great time, 40 minutes (more of a speed walk, jog), but alright for my first attempt at 5 KM.

over the half-way point now. Feeling really good. Heather has been a great support through this transition.

Well on track to reach the goal.

I have been out of my routine for almost 2 weeks. I went on vacation for a week, then was away on business the following week, so I am back to the grind. I have been treding water weight wise. I'm glad I didn't put on any pounds.

My waist size is down 10 inches since I started on May 1st.

I am running 5 - 6 KM about 3 times a week along with "gym cardio" (cross trainer, tredmill ect.). My run time is down to about 34-35 minutes for 5K

Time to get a new suite. I just bout a new one back in the beginning of May when I started my training. We it is hanging off me. Jacket was a 54 (chest) and 52 (waist) pants. I got measured this morning and I will need something around 48 Jacket and a 40 pant.

I second Graydon's sentiments. Very good work. As I am sure Heather has told you it is important to make everything a lifestlye change so you keep at it and always keep the weight off.

Last night I set a personal best at the 5K run. I finally broke the 30 minute barrier with a time of 29min 53 seconds.

Getting frusterated with the weight slow down. Weight has not been falling off as much as before. I know it is to be expected, but sucks none the less.

Be patient and stick with it. My guess is it didn't take 200 days to put the weight on, so it may take a little longer than 200 days to take it off. You have done very very well so far. Keep up with the lifestyle changes, make changes to your workouts and think of it as a lifestle change for the rest of your life.
