All this snow was throwing a wrench in my outside running. Being well, older, I didn't want to risk falling on the ice.
One of my athletes Leo St. Germain mentioned he was getting Yaktraks. I did some research, they are like studs for running shoes. Most of the reviews were positive so I got a pair at Runner's Choice. I figured it was a good sign Runner's Choice carried them as they are a reputable store with some very experienced runner's that work there.
Tried them out yesterday in the snow and ice. Very impressed. Not only did I not slip once, but they even felt fine running on the odd bit of bare pavement. Beats the heck out of running on a treadmill (plus I don't have a treadmill) A few reviews said they had durability issues, but first impression is very positive.
