Water in Wheels

I rode my Caad 8 for the first time in the rain on Saturday. The Ksyrium Elite wheels were totally water logged and filled with water when I got home. This also happens with my older 2001 Ksyrium wheels. I didn't have the valve screw on, could that be where the water is getting in? Having to take my tire and tube off to drain the water after every ride is annoying. Any master mechanics have any advice?

Hi Chris... You can try putting a small rubber gasket on under the vaulve stem screw. A tap washer will work, you know the flat ones with the hole in the center. Princess auto has hundreds of little o rings that work and are invisible also....
