Triathlon and Duathlon Training Plans
All Triathlon / Duathlon Plans: $59 CND
We offer Triathlon and Duathlon 12 week training plans. Plans are divided by season Spring, Summer, Fall and Winter. Triathlon programs are co designed by Jennifer Ditchfield and Chris Helwig.
Duathlon Programs are divided into beginner, intermediate and advanced programs.
Beginner programs are for those people that are new to Duathlon and may not have a large background in endurance events. Most weeks have 5 workouts total. Programs include brick workouts regularly. Runs vary from 30-45 minutes and bikes vary from 1-2 hrs
Intermediate programs are for those with some Duathlon experience or for those that are getting back into training but have competed before. Programs are 5 days per week and include brick workouts regularly. Runs vary from 45-60 minutes and bikes vary from 1-2.5 hrs.
Advanced programs are for those with a fair amount of Duathlon experience. Programs are 5-6 days per week and include lots of brick work. Runs are typically 1hr in duration and bikes are mostly between 1.5-3 hrs.
Triathlon programs are divided by distance into 4 programs: Try a Tri or Sprint Tri, Olympic Distance, Half Ironman and Ironman
Try a Tri or Sprint Tri program are designed for people that are new to the sport. Programs are 5-6 workouts per week. Most weeks include brick workouts. Swims are between 30-45 minutes, Runs are between 30-45 minutes and bikes are between 1-1.5 hrs.
Olympic Distance programs are designed to work well for people that are newer to this distance, but also for people that want to improve their performance in Olympic Distance Triathlons. Programs are 5-6 workouts per week and most weeks include brick workouts. Swims are mostly 45-60 minutes, runs are 45-70 minutes and bikes are mostly 1.5-2.5 hrs.
Half Ironman programs are designed for people new to the distance, but also work well for people looking to improve their performance and time at the Half IM distance. Most weeks have 6 workouts per week with ample brick work. Swims are mostly around 1hr, runs are between 45 minutes and building up to 2hrs. Bikes are between 1.5-3.5 hrs.
Ironman Programs work well for first time IM competitors or equally well for people looking to improve their time or do a PB. Programs are mostly 6 days per week with ample brick work. Swims are 1-1.5 hrs, runs are 1-2 3/4 hours and bikes are 2-6hrs.
